Children's Eye Exam
The Ontario association of optometrist advises that children should have a complete eye exam by the age of three.

The eye exam will determine if the child is near sighted or farsighted. Correcting farsightedness can prevent amblyopia (lazy eye).

In this case the child has problems seeing with one eye, in addition to glasses vision training may help the eye to regain normal vision. Moreover half the children with learning disability have visual problems associated with it. Correcting their visual problems i.e. farsightedness may eliminate some of the problems.
